Eurgh, part 2

*sigh*

The tow truck just arrived to take my poor, injured baby away, it may take awhile to fix as the engine appears to have been knocked about too (it was revving at 2000 when the tow guy drove it onto his truck).

Still thankful that nobody was injured, the collarbone is super sore from the seatbelt and there’s one hell of a welt blossoming across the right side of my chest, but so long as the welt doesn’t transform into a visible bruise, then I’m quite alright with it all.

Good thing is that both parents appear to have taken it in stride, both passed it off as a learning experience and told me to be grateful that it was a relatively minor accident and that it happened in a side-street (a little over 100m from my home - I was actually going off to go grocery shopping when it happened!) and that nobody was injured.

Yes, the accident was my fault, in a moment of absent-mindedness I failed to give way to a car driving down the road in the opposite direction as I was turning right. Stupid stupid stupid. And whilst I don’t like the idea too much since I’ve always been one who hates being dependant on others and has prided herself on taking care of herself, being unemployed (I was being interviewed for a stellar position at a publishing company here in Aus which has unfortunately fallen through since they’ve decided not to fill the position after all), I don’t have a great deal of options at the moment…so I guess I’ll take one of my readers up on her suggestion that I set up a donation fund in case any of you readers happen to have a few extra pennies rolling around and can help me pay to get my baby up and running again!

There’s a link in the side bar and at the bottom of this page to a paypal donation page for my car fund, so if you’ve enjoyed following the blog and maybe have a bit of loose change that you don’t mind parting with, then please consider helping me get my grocery shopping vehicle back on the road (>_<).

Unless, of course, someone is interesting in buying a kidney?

*goes back to printing resumes for yet another resume dropping day tomorrow*

ouch….hope you can get enough money to fix it soon.

Oh no! Well, at least you are ok… accidents are never fun…
I just hope they fix your car properly. :(

Dad gum that’s hurts! What a pain.

Hope you’re ok. Take care of those bruses and bumps. Now that you’ve got it out of the way you won’t have another for many many years. That’s the rule.
The good news is that it didn’t change you…You’re still the same lovely young L.E. ;-)

Kat - Half there, but half to go

Peter - As do I!

Tanna - In more ways than one

BS - You’re DH or LC, aren’t you? The only two folks who know me in that region… Dunno about the rule cuz I don’t know when I’ll get back behind the wheel of a car, but we shall see.
