Mr. Woofy Sulks (WDB #56)
I had a bit of a bake-a-thon this weekend, and since I tried a few new recipes, I had to photograph them for the blog. Now, the undesirable positioning of our house means that it is difficult to get natural light for photography, the house itself is dark most of the time despite large windows in every room, and you can only get direct sunlight in the middle of the backyard, or from the second storey balcony.
Ever seen a plate fall from a second storey balcony onto concrete? Let me tell you, it isn’t pretty. Especially if you have to go and sweep the area 2-3 times to make sure you got the last of those tiny shards of porcelain, due to worry about a certain woofer’s delicate paw pads.
Since then, I stick to ground level when I need to take photographs, which means that Mr. Woofy is a constant companion. I thought I’d take some pictures to illustrate his dedication to all things munchable.

Disembodied dog head - everytime I elbowed him away, he’d rush straight back and place his head heavily on the closest available surface and coat it in his profusely flowing dog drool.

“Hey mom, since you’re done taking pictures of the food, may I have one? PRETTY PLEASE?”

“Why not? Well, NER TO YOU THEN! Why you gotta be so mean?” *dog sulk*
How does Mr. Woofy sulk, do you ask? He walks away and sits down, making sure to have his arse pointing in your direction, and the ignores you till you come over and lavish him with love. Yes, he has the mental maturity of a 3yo human child.

I have a collie mix and he does exactly what Mr. Woofie does in the first picture. They sure know how to get us!
Kat - He <3 you too
Doodles - Hehehe, after 6 years of practice, I’m starting to get the hang of it
But for the most part, he can still whine me into doing almost anything he wants!
PatL - Cheers
Helen - Collies are gorgeous! I think all dogs are just born knowing how to tug on the heartstrings of humans ![]()
Iling - LOL, I keeled over laughing after I got that shot, as his facial expression captures that of a petulant little child
Well, in my opinion anyway! And he did throw a giant sulk afterwards which could only be countered by giving him one half of those little muffins *sigh* He has me wrapped around his little paw!
hahahaha! That first one reminds me of Chloe - she does the same thing, laying her head like that. Give him hugs for me for posing with his tongue hanging out again.. lurve that ![]()
I heart Mr Woofy too, he is adorable!
I would like my own Ms Woofy, however I’m worried she may upset my feline fella’s ego… sigh
Lis - Awww, Chloe!! Hope she’s well
Have passed on hugs to him, he sends kisses in return
Bron - He’s quite the stunner and always manages to turn heads
Ahh, the delicate single-child ego! I’d love to get a kitty, but I’m afraid of how he’d react, so for now he remains an only child!
How could you say no to such a cute face. I love doggies with personality and Mr. Woofy sure oozes lots of it!
Jenjen - He’s definetely got oodles of personailty, but I think the oozing might be more the dog drool that he seems to have a neverending supply of ![]()
Awwww….look at that face!
Ha - my golden will turn his back on me too - such attitude!
I hear you on the lighting problems. But your photos look great (unlike mine
)!
Alysha - Bailey’s gorgeous
I think the sooking thing might just be the way that goldens do it? But how can we not keep lovin those floppy-eared faces
As for the photographs - thanks, am glad you like them! I don’t have any props, so instead I just try and grab the texture of the food in broad daylight ![]()

I heart Mr Woofy!
