Scrolls, pt 1.5

So, I’m feeling thoroughly disenchanted about yeast after this morning’s failure, but no, I will NOT let the yeast win! I will prevail, and stick my skewer through this beastie’s heart!

(Yes, I’m aware that yeast doesn’t actually “have” a heart”)

Regardless, courtesy of Ken from A Food Year, I have what appears to be a dead-easy recipe for calzone (which, if it works, will take care of my packed lunch for work for a couple of days), though it may have to wait till the weekend as I’ve got my bf’s gig on Thursday, and an assignment due on Friday.

And after much browsing of foodblogs, I’ve found this recipe for orange and blueberry scrolls, which also looks quite simple and may also warrant a try on the weekend.

I SHALL NOT FAIL.

(Note to self: remember to buy more dry yeast…)

You show that yeast who’s boss!

:o)

*salutes* Aye aye captain ;)

teee heee.. if these next two recipes turn out anything like your muffins did.. then those yeasties should be afraid.. very afraid! Good luck, my friend! :D

thank you, oh lovely one!

I tried to draw a picture of me conquering a yeastie earlier today…but for some reason it kept turning out like a flea, which was waaaaaay too unappetising to post!

Good luck as you foray into battle!

Cheers BNA, I think I need all the luck I can get ;)

You won’t be sorry… until they’re all gone :o
