Weed nostalgia

Ten years ago, when I returned to Australia, I picked these weeds growing on a sandbank on a beach because I thought they were beautiful, growing ragged and waving in the wind.

I still keep them, wrapped in a gold ribbon, and ten years have taken their toll - they are rather raggedy and worse for wear.

I still think they’re beautiful.
