Nonsense

After the job at Fairfax fell through, I’ve endured two months of applications, nervous waiting, disappointment at a silent phone and rejection letters…

And I’m about to leave for my second interview with one company, and have had another 3 lined up for next week in the space of 24 hours.

What gives? But they say that you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, so I’ll just be grateful for now. Having this many interviews lined up is great, but if I don’t get any of the jobs, I may want to throw myself off the Westgate bridge from the sheer disappointment.

I am going through the waiting for job stuff at the moment. After submitting the thesis last year I took a break and then got into some short term work earlier this year thinking I would get a job reasonably quick….how wrong I was!! Had two interviews in the last 4 weeks, from all the jobs I have applied!!! so frustrating and so boring staying at home. Thankfully i have some more short term work lined up for the next 4 weeks :) I agree about how disappointed it is when you get a knock, especially when you think you pretty much had it….and then find out like 4 weeks later that they have readvertised that position!!

Hope you did get one of those jobs you interviewed for.

(btw, this is scott from flickr and when are you cooking more cupcakes and yeah I know I should ask this on your food blog!!)
