Things I cannot do (or do with extreme difficulty) with one hand and one finger:
Put on a bra
Open my bottle of multivitamins
Chop a carrot in half lengthways
Put on any eye make up
Tie shoelaces
Peel an orange
Put my clean sheets back on the bed
Scoop ice cream
Things I can still do with just one hand and one finger

Sheer Vanity
Thursday, September 13th, 2007
There are so many things that I don’t like about my appearance, but one thing I have always, always loved is my hair.
Thick, jet black, healthy, vibrant and bouncy - I’ve always gotten compliments on it and as a result I’ve always thought of it as my crowning glory.
For two years, I had a GEM [...] -
What’s your name?
Wednesday, September 12th, 2007
“You are only a real family if you have the same surname.” Wrong. If a family wants the same surname, why don’t half of these families have the mother’s surname? It seems only women have names that are hard to spell, they aren’t attached to or they don’t like. Not men. Odd. And convenient.

Not only did I pass…
But I got a PERFECT score

I passed my hazard perception test last Monday, on 3 hours sleep and a score of 74%.
I was SO SURE that I had failed, that when I got my score, my knees buckled and I had to hold onto the front counter not to fall over. Though, this may have had something to do with [...] -
On a lighter note…
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007
This blog has been, well, horribly depressing for awhile, so here’s something on a bit of a lighter note:
And the reaction?
What do you think? Do children understand irony? Is this over the top?
(You also need to bear in mind that this clip is NOT on par with shows like Play School [...] -
In keeping with my last post

The medium is the message.
Infinite representations and versions.
The centre of the “Youniverse”.
The ghost in the machine.
The sum of my pixels.
A society where narcissism is encouraged.
My every move watched and analysed.
I am a demographic.
I protest.
.. Like Aldous Huxley said, it’s a brave new world… -

EPIC 2015 - by Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson with original music by Aaron McLeranIn many ways, I’m extremely grateful for the education that I am privileged to receive. Many of my lecturers and tutors are passionate, fiercely intelligent people who are helping me to navigate the complexities involved in analyzing and understanding [...]
