Flawed Form

In My Skin

I’ve been feeling rather…

Incomplete
Unsatisfied
Discontent, and
Frustrated

with myself of late.

Hopefully, it will pass sooner rather than later.

Great take on a self-portrait, that sense of vulnerability you’ve framed is offset by the self-confidence to take such a shot, not to mention the persistance in getting such a difficult shot. The acknowledgement of our flaws along with our striving to correct them are a big part of what makes us human in my humble, uneducated-in-humanities opinion. Playing the parochial South Australian may I suggest the feelings of being incomplete, unsatisfied, discontent and frustrated are related to the fact that you’re living in Melbourne in the throes of winter :P Anyway excellent piece of expression, its got me thinking on how I could express myself using my physical form (that sentence sounds weird). Would it be too megalomaniacal of me to have a bronze cast of myself with all my physical flaws for posterity? :P

Forrest - Good analysis of the photo :) My discontent probably has a fair bit to do with the weather at the moment, though recently its not been too bad and we’ve had a fair bit of sun! As for your bronze cast…*ahem* well, not too magalomaniacal if it were done tastefully, I suppose ;) Tastefully, with no *cough* exaggerations :P
