The changing of the seasons
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007
It’s still bitterly cold here in Melbourne, and the wind continues to blow something fierce…but I can smell something in the air.
Anticipation.
There are flower buds on the plants all over my backyard, and I can almost feel their excitement as they prepare to burst forth into a beautiful array of colour, bringing back their vibrancy [...] -
Look at my battle-scars

1 (one) sliced middle finger
1 (one) burnt hand
2 (two) cracked nails
2 (two) slightly grated knuckles
Actually, considering how many hours I spent in the kitchen this weekend past, I’m kinda surprised I didn’t sustain any more injury than I did!
Got back from the family office on Friday to be greeted by a frantic mother who’s just [...] -

I am beyond pissed off right now.
Why? Because I am trying SO HARD to bite my tongue. I disabled the ability to select text and right click on my food blog some time ago after finding incidents of people copying the photos and uploading them onto other sites, and a few instances of ENTIRE POSTS [...] -

Things I love:
Waking up to a cold, doggy nose and a fluffy, waggy tail
My kitchen
The fact that the rain has completely brought my garden back to life
Lots of green grass.
Enjoying a mug of hot choc while listening to the rain pour down
Sitting by the fireplace in the lounge and gasbagging with my ma
Fresh, clean sheets [...] -
A terrifying thought
Saturday, July 7th, 2007
In the past 14 hours, I have managed to work my way through almost 1kg of unsalted butter, almost 24 eggs, and about 2kg of flour.
I now also have a kitchen bench covered in baked goods. HELP.
I think I need an intervention. -
Idiots! I am surrounded by idiots!
Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007
Well, not literally. But there does seem to be an excess of morons out there. I’ve become quite crap at updating my food blog (I really need to try some new recipes soon! Maybe this weekend…) but for some reason, there has been a veritable barrage of comments and emails from people trying to self-promote [...]
