So, who am I?

My name is Ellie, and I’m a cook-a-holic.

Okay, well other than that…

Born in South Korea in 1982, I immigrated to Australia with my parents at the age of 4, and as a result, my world is a crazy haphazard collision of both Korean and Australian mentalities and attitudes, which can often get confusing as the two sides battle it out to be the last one left standing.

For a single lass in her mid-20s, I’m a bit odd. I’m very much a homebody, taking great pride in keeping the home neat and taking care of my family. Cooking and cleaning give me a ridiculous sense of satisfaction, and my first thought on a bright, sunny day isn’t “I should go out and enjoy this weather”, but “this is PERFECT laundry weather!”

The eldest of three, I’ve always been extremely protective of my younger siblings and my own mother admits that I am their second mother. As well as this, I am also the extremely proud adoptive parent of an (almost) 8yo golden retriever named Mr. Woofy (on account of how very vocal he is), and love him more than life itself…despite the fact that he tries to kick me out of my bed every night!

Very ordinary, but not your ordinary girl, I’m a walking contradiction - but hey, isn’t it a girls prerogative to unpredictably change her mind?
